Your home and its contents need to be protected. Since immediate Hurricane Irma roof repair isn’t possible, the best way to do that is by having a tarp installed by a reputable contractor or taking advantage of Operation Blue Roof. Keep in mind that some storm damage may not be evident to the naked eye and roof leaks grow over time. If you don’t notice anything right now but do in the coming weeks, be sure to get on the schedule of a licensed roofing contractor and contact your insurance company. They will send an adjustor and determine if the roof leak is due to storm damage or just an aging roof. If your roofing contractor disagrees with your adjustor, have them both come to your home at the same time.
